The project "Development of Multi-nuclei Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Equipment" completed by the group led by professor Xin Zhou won the second prize of the National Technological Invention Award in 2023
On June 24, the National Science and Technology Conference, the National Science and Technology Awards Conference, and the Academician Conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering were held in Beijing. The "Development of Multi-nuclei Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Equipment" project, led by Researcher Xin Zhou from the ultrasensitive magnetic resonance research group of the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, won the second prize of the National Technological Invention Award in 2023.
The "Multi-nuclei Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Equipment" is the world's first approved clinical multi-nuclei MRI equipment for gas imaging. It enables non-invasive, non-ionizing radiation detection of lung micro-structure, ventilation, and gas exchange functions, as well as quantitative and visual assessments. This technology has established a pulmonary physiological evaluation system comprising over 20 indicators in three major categories, providing new medical imaging methods and strategies for early screening and treatment evaluation of lung diseases.
