On December 14, 2023, Professor Shan Tan was invited by the Ultrasensitive Magnetic Resonance Research Group to give an academic report entitled "Application of Image Processing Technology in Biomedical Imaging and Artificial Intelligence Healthcare" at the conference room on the 17th floor of the Spectrum Building. The report was chaired by Professor Shenzhen Chen.

Professor Shan Tan mainly engages in research of biomedical imaging, image processing, and intelligent healthcare. The Hessian structured light super-resolution fluorescence microscopy imaging algorithm proposed by Professor Shan Tan's research group is currently one of the longest imaging time, highest time resolution, and most sensitive ultra-high resolution structured light fluorescence microscopy imaging technologies. The related achievements have been published in journals such as Nature Biotechnology and have been selected as one of the "Top 10 Advances in Optics in China in 2018".

In the report, Professor Shan Tan explained the progress of his research group in inverse problem solving and image analysis, including style decoupling in inverse problems, unsupervised image denoising, and frequency uncertainty research in super-resolution. Combining relevant experimental content and research results, Professor Shan Tan also introduced the applications of these studies in biomedical research such as high-speed super-resolution fluorescence microscopy imaging, low-dose CT imaging, and intelligent diagnosis and treatment.

After the presentation, Professor Shan Tan had in-depth exchanges with teachers and students of the Ultrasensitive Magnetic Resonance Research Group, deepening everyone's understanding of the cross-application of image analysis technology and biomedical research.
