On October 20, 2021,Professor Jie Wen was invited to give an academic report entitled "Quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Its Clinical Application" in the conference room on the 18th floor of the Spectrum Building. The report was chaired by the Professor Xin Zhou.

Professor Jie Wen is a professor at the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China, the scientific director of the imaging department, and a doctoral supervisor in the Department of Life Sciences and Medicine of the University of Science and Technology of China. From 2016 to 2018, he worked as a lecturer at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. From 2018 to present, he worked as a professor at the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China. His main research interests are the exploration of the biophysical significance behind quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (qMRI) signals and the development of qMRI technology. Up to now, he has published 20 high-level original papers in SCI magazines such as PNAS, Neuroimage and Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.

In the report, Professor Jie Wen explained the background of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging technology, as well as its clinical development and application. Professor Jie Wen introduced in detail how to use biostatistical methods to analyze the contribution of micro-genes and cell types in the cerebral cortex of healthy adults to the macro-quantitative magnetic resonance signal; and the use of multi-parameter relaxation-related qMRI technology to improve quantitative magnetic resonance measurement Accuracy.

After the presentation, professor Jie Wen had an active exchange with teachers and students, which deepened everyone's understanding of quantitative magnetic resonance technology.
