On June 7, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Libin Xiang, visited Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics (WIPM) to investigate and survey the organization and implementation of "the first action" of the CAS and the progress of the" one three five" .

During the visit, Libin Xiang investigated the national MR Center in Wuhan, Human lung MRI laboratory established by the Ultrasensitive Magnetic Resonance Imaging Research Group and other magnetic resonance research platform. In the site inspection, Libin Xiang held cordial conversations with the researchers, asked in detail about the outstanding progress of the work, the status quo of indicators, application and transformation.

Libin Xiang appreciated the Institute's spirit of "dare to face great challenges" in the scientific research and fully affirmed all kinds of innovative achievements and vigorous development made by WIPM. He hoped that WIPM would always aim at the national strategic layout, taking "the first action" plan for the implementation as an big opportunity and make concise goal and cohesion team through the "one three five". He also hoped that WIPM give full play to crossed dominance of the atomic and molecular physics, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, mathematical physics and other disciplines to make a greater contribution to meet the national strategic demands and serve the economic community.

Main leader of Wuhan branch of the CAS, the whole team members of the WIPM and academician Chaohui Ye were accompanied.
