Deputy party secretary of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Weiping Liu visit WIPM

In the morning of July 6th，2016, Deputy party secretary and vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Weiping Liu visited WIPM's Ultrasensitive Magnetic Resonance Research Group. Wuhan Branch of the CAS's dean Zhiming Yuan and secretary Pingping Chen,deputy director of Personnel Bureau of CAS Weifeng Dong and others were accompanied.

During the visit,Vice secretary Weiping Liu investigated Human lung MRI laboratory and national MR Center in Wuhan.After that, he listened to the report of director of WIPM Maili Liu about the overall development, recent research progress and the next strategy of WIPM. Secretary of WIPM Mingsheng Zhan also reported on work of Party Building and deputy director of WIPM Xin Zhou talked about progress of MRI in human lung.

Vice secretary Weiping Liu highly appreciated the advanced scientific and technological achievement acquired by WIPM. He gave WIPM four instructions about how to implement the "three oriented" and "four first" requirements of general secretary of the party Jinping Xi for the Chinese Academy of Sciences. First,the institute should be good at propagandizing achievements in scientific research to refine the problems and offer proposal for our country. Second, the institute should improve the talent chain according to the innovative chain and focus on the needs of the "13th Five-Year" task,making full use of national policy. Third, the institute should establish a management philosophy that scientists are the most important and take efforts to improve the scientific research and living conditions to promote scientific research and innovation. Forth, the institute should grasp the transformation of scientific and technological achievement. Vice secretary Weiping Liu emphasized that it was necessary to strengthen cooperation with local governments and leading enterprises.The transformation of advanced technology MRI in human lung should be completed as soon as possible. Finally, deputy secretary Weiping Liu urged WIPM to tackle tough efforts for science and technology and to maintain the international advanced level,to continue to make the greatest contribution to the country's major needs, to accelerate the pace of industrialization for the main battlefield of national economy.
